One of those William Hogarth prints of drunks in public- "Gin Lane" is actually pretty horrific. Notice how the building in the background is collapsing with people pouring out! This is supposed to show the destruction of society due to alcohol abuse. In my experience, alcohol abuse seems to lead people to destroy the art of singing more than anything.
